Cool, that's nice :-)

Now, time for the WIBNIs: I've only tried it in the self-contained
window more, but at the bottom of the screen could the window go up
rather than down?

Also, considered making it a ROX applet or using the freedesktop.org
systray standard? A lot of ROX stuff is based in Python so it shouldn't
be too hard ;-)
